About the Forum

The World Leadership Global Forum (WLGF) is a prestigious inter-school competition hosted by Appasaheb Birnale Public School, Sangli under the Hon. Babanrao Birnale Trophy 2026. It brings together young learners for a six-round challenge built around awareness, speed, creativity, strategy, and debate.

Each school sends one teacher mentor and exactly three students: one each from Standard 8, 9, and 10. Teams first choose one website topic, then compete through topic-based quiz and poster rounds before the best teams move on.

Written quiz based on general awareness about India.

Rapid Fire Quiz

Topic-based rapid round from the website-selected topic.

  • 1 minute per team
  • All team members can participate
  • No negative marking
Round 3

Poster Making

Poster creation based on the selected website topic.

  • 30 mins
  • Chart paper provided
  • Bring your own colours and stationery
  • Eliminations start after this round based on the total scores of Rounds 1 to 3

Strategy Goal

Individual answering round based on general awareness about India.

  • 2 minutes
  • 5 marks correct, -1 wrong, -2 no answer
  • Questions rotate member by member
Round 5

Buzzer Round

Open rapid questions based on current affairs in India.

  • Open to all teams
  • 5 minutes
  • Negative marking applies
Round 6

The Final Face Off - Debate

The last 4 teams debate on one final topic chosen on stage.

  • Last 4 teams only
  • Timed proposition and opposition format
  • Multiple rebuttal rounds

General Rules

  • One group per school is allowed to participate
  • Each team must have exactly 3 students: one from Standard 8, one from 9, and one from 10
  • One teacher mentor should accompany the team
  • Dress code is compulsory school uniform
  • Pick your topic from the website before the slots fill up
  • Once a topic is selected on the website, it cannot be changed
  • Selection is strictly first come, first served
  • Rounds 2 and 3 are based on the selected website topic
  • Eliminations will start after the 3rd round based on the combined results of the first three rounds
  • Breakfast is complimentary; lunch is ₹100 per person
  • Registration is first-come-first-served basis
  • All decisions by judges are final and binding
